Rødsand II was commissioned in October 2010. The offshore wind farm is situated south of the Danish island of Lolland in the Baltic Sea, approximately nine kilometres southeast of Rødbyhavn. With an installed capacity of 207 MW, Rødsand supplies 146,609 Danish households with green energy.
The 90 wind turbines with a capacity of 2.3 MW each are laid out in 18 units in five rows, which are curved towards the coast and cover an area of 34 km2. The turbines have a tower height of 68.5 metres and a rotor diameter of 93 metres. Their total height is 115 metres. The turbines were installed at a water depth of 5-13 metres and the annual CO2 emission savings amount to 296,296 tonnes.
