A wind farm creates benefits for everyone, but mainly impacts those who live and work in the area. In the coming years, offshore wind will be built on a huge scale in Danish waters.
Therefore, we need to think about social sustainability in terms of local inclusion to ensure our projects bring a positive contribution the local communities. Municipalities and regions with a large production of cheap, green electricity from wind power also attract new businesses, leading potentially to more jobs and increased tax revenues. RWE is intent on using a skilled local workforce during both construction and daily operations of our projects, in port and offshore.
